Recipe: Aaloo Gobhi Sabji (Potato Cauliflower Veg Gravy)
Today I will tell you about a fulfilling vegetable recipe which you can eat with Indian chapatis.
Gobi – As Per Requirement
Potatoes – As Per Requirement
Salt to taste
Pinch of turmeric
Oil – 2 tbsp
Recipe To Cook:
Cut cauliflowers into small florets, do not make it too small. Keep it aside in lukewarm water.
Cut potatoes length wise and cut it into thin slices just do not make it too thin.
Now chop onion and green chili into small pieces.
Switch on the gas and place a kadhai (pan) on it. Once you feel it is hot pour 2 tbsp oil in the pan. I have used olive oil as it is lighter compared to others though you can use any oil.
Add few cumin seeds in it. Once they splutter and turn into brown color, add onions and green chilies to it.
Bring the flame and let the onion change its color. Onion would become translucent once it is cooked.
Now add cauliflower and potatoes and mix it once. Cover it with a lid and let it sit on slow flame.
After a while check and cut the potatoes with the spoon to see whether they are cooked or not.
Now add some salt and turmeric to it.
If you think it is getting burnt just add 1-2 tbsp of water in the pan and let it get cooked. Just keep checking every now and then to make sure it does not get burnt.
Once it is done you can garnish it with some coriander leaves and serve it with rice & daal or may be with fulka or parantha.
